"Azerigas" Production Association (PA) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) delivered about 2.63 billion cubic meters of gas to consumers in the first half of 2014.
"Azerigas" dealing with the distribution and sale of natural gas to consumers on the territory of Azerbaijan told Trend on Aug. 12.
"Azerigas" stressed that more than 1.52 billion cubic meters of the total volume of gas delivered by PA to consumers in January-June fell on groups of population, and the remaining 1.1 billion cubic meters fell on other groups.
In June, PA delivered about 167.5 million cubic meters of gas to consumers, 60.35 million cubic meters of which fell on consumers of population groups and 107.12 million cubic meters fell on the other consumers, the ministry said.
As of August 1, 2014, the number of consumers of Azerbaijani gas operator amounted to over 1.7 million. Baku has 718,518 gas consumers, while other regions of the country have 981,567 of the total number of gas consumers.
