Turkey to be Azerbaijan’s partner in international tourism exhibition

Turkey will act as a partner of Azerbaijan International Exhibition Tourism and Travel AITF 2010 for the first time. Turkey will traditionally participate in the exhibition with its national stand, increasing their exposition by 40 percent compared to 2009, the ITECA Caspian said.

The Ninth Azerbaijan International exhibition Tourism and Travel AITF 2010 will be held on Apr. 28 to 30 in the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex.

In 2009, despite the decline in the tourism industry worldwide, AITF was a great success and attracted over 100 companies. Attracting more than 7,000 people from 24 countries AITF 2009 beat a record.

Judging the number of companies that have confirmed their participation AITF is expected to expand by 20 percent compared to 2009. Over 100 companies are predicted to attend the show in 2010. The brightest participants of the exhibition will be the national stands, which are regarded a major advantage of any tourism exhibition. Stands of Greece, Egypt, India, Malaysia, UAE and Turkey demonstrate national palette. Exotic trends will also dominate, bringing together countries such as Thailand, Seychelles, and Mauritius which remain topical despite the global financial crisis. Swiss tour operators show a huge range of different facilities for tourists. Stavropol Region will attend the exposition for the first time, offering a full range of spa treatments. Busy program of the exhibition will include workshops, presentations, prize.

The Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry actively supports the exhibition. Organizers of

the exhibition are the British company ITE Group PLC and its partner in the Caucasus Iteca Caspian
