Iteca Caspian LLC was honoured with the "Progress" prize due to its active promotion of trade and economic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. The founders of the prize are the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani-Russian Chamber of Business Cooperation.
The representatives of leading Azerbaijani companies that have successfully formed partnerships with Russian colleagues took part in a solemn prize-giving ceremony held yesterday at Baku Entertainment Centre.
The "Progress" prize was presented to the director of Iteca Caspian LLC, Mr Farid Mamedov, after the company's nomination in the category of "The best party in Azerbaijani-Russian trade and economic relations of the year" for its organization of international exhibitions. In his speech, Mr Farid Mamedov said, "We are very grateful for this prestigious award. Companies from the Russian Federation regularly take part in exhibitions held by us in Azerbaijan, and in fact, a record number of Russian participants, i.e. more than 60 companies are involved in this year's Caspian Oil & Gas exhibition. We believe that this is not the limit and that this figure will grow in the future." Trade Representative of the Russian Federation Mr Shedrin, who presented the award to the winner, said that he appreciates the contribution made by the international exhibitions of Azerbaijan to the development of business relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, "For our part we will assist in attracting Russian companies to international exhibitions in Azerbaijan and will create the necessary conditions for access for Azerbaijani companies entering the Russian market through major exhibitions in Russia".
