The number of companies from the CIS countries, Europe and East Asia increased. For the first time the exhibition will be attended by companies from Vietnam.

As part of the oil and gas exhibition in Baku the 19th International Conference "Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals" will also be held. The conference, which will begin work on the second day of the exhibition (June 6), will bring together over 500 delegates, which is a testament to the growing interest in oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan.

The main themes of the conference will be questions of the "golden age" of the Caspian region, oil refining, gas processing and petrochemical production, supply of energy to world markets, exploration and production in Azerbaijan and other issues.

Strachan said a special place in the exhibition and conference will be devoted to a grand project of creating in Azerbaijan by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) of a new complex of oil and gas processing and production of petrochemical products.
