Azercell Telecom OJSC participated in the work of World Conference and Specialized Exhibition of Information-Communication Technologies, ITU Telecom World 2009, held in Geneva on October 5-9, the company said.
Communication and IT Minister Ali Abbasov headed the delegation including representatives of state and private enterprises.
SimKredit, PayCell, MobilBanking, DataKart services were demonstrated at Azercell Telecom's stand.
Azercell Telecom together with Communication and IT Ministry organized fascinating ceremony named 'Azerbaijani night' on October 6. Cultural values of the Azerbaijani Republic (national music and dishes of national cuisine) were demonstrated there. Visitors got prizes.
The forum is the largest event in telecommunications and IT. It was held under slogan 'Open networks - connected brains'.
Exposition with total area of 41,000 square meters demonstrated achievements of 700 companies from 40 countries.
Number of professional visitors hit 45,000 from 140 countries.
