AzQtel is working to install a new base station in Sumgayit, the company told Trend today. AzQtel offers wireless access to the Internet through WIMAX technologies.
Installing the stations will ensure radio coverage in new areas. The speed and quality of the access will depend on the signal capacity and a user's distance from a base station, AzQtel said.
AZQTEL offers wireless Internet access using WIMAX technologies in the Baku suburbs and Absheron Peninsular. The data transfer speed is 2 Mbps.
WIMAX technology is oriented on organizing a symmetric wireless broadband wireless network to the Internet, similar to a wired ADSL, as well as the construction of distributed local area networks in areas with moderate and low buildings, such as suburban estates and country houses.
WIMAX base stations provide a broadband connection with a radius of over 30 kilometers and a capacity that can be compared with a cable connection up to 100 Mbps.
