The Yalli.az Internet network has attracted 2,000 Azerbaijani users, Yumroo General Director Anar Yolchuyev told Trend today.
According to Yolchuyev, the figure was achieved over two years. Yumroo intends to turn the Yalli social networking site into a tool to develop and consolidate Azerbaijani society, as well as a means to promote domestic IT business.
Social networking sites are a new phenomenon for Azerbaijan, Yolchuyev said.
The establishment of a national social network is a step to involving people in the informational environment and stimulating Internet users in the AzNet segment with national content.
The number of Azerbaijani Internet segment visitors is increasing constantly, which contributes to IT development and Internet awareness in everyday life.
