Azercell Telecom’s network infrastructure ready for 3G

A network infrastructure of Azercell Telecom mobile operator has been ready for two years to launch 3G standard, the company said.

Despite the company has repeatedly appealed to the relevant authorities for a license, it has not received responses to the official statements so far.

Along with a ready network infrastructure Azercell Telecom is ready to introduce to the market the user devices that support innovative services.

Communication services are the major engine of a society based on knowledge. The company conducted tests of the fourth generation standard (4G). Such services allow the economy to attract new foreign investments. During its overall activities Azercell Telecom has invested about $1 billion in Azerbaijan's economy, the company said.

Azercell Telecom is ready to invest in the development of telecommunication infrastructure of Azerbaijan in the future.

Expansion of the mobile communication coverage, the introduction of advanced technologies, namely the 3G standard play an important role for further development of IT sector in Azerbaijan. These technologies provide entrepreneurs and ordinary users with an access to the information area. As in any other country with developed economy, they have right to enjoy the advantages of modern technologies.
