Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 13 / Trend H. Valiyev /
Capacity of the main Internet channel of the Azerbaijani primary Internet provider - Delta Telecom company, is increased to 10 Gb/s in a northerly direction, Delta Telecom company director general Ramazan Valiyev told Trend .
According to Valiyev, the increase in bandwidth from 2.5 to 10 Gbit / s became possible thanks to cooperation of Delta Telecom with Russia's national telecommunications operator Rostelecom.
"Today, eight 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks based on DWDM technology were put into operation between Delta Telecom and Rostelecom. One of them is completely filled. Rostelecom has put into operation the second 10-gigabit network in the direction of Azerbaijan. In its turn, it will secure the first segment AzNet in case of emergencies and improve the quality of services ", Valiyev said.
Today, Delta Telecom's network infrastructure plays an intermediary role in connecting telecommunication infrastructures of Russia and Iran. Transit traffic is carried out according to the signed agreement to provide bilateral services to rent international digital channels between Rostelecom and the Iranian Telecommunication Infrastructure Company.
