The Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences plans to study applied and fundamental tasks with the use of X-ray diffractometry.
The institute bought an X-ray diffractometer D8 made by the German company Bruker, worth 500,000 euro.
The device's basic optical scheme allow the implementation of techniques to study samples of building materials and metallurgical industries.
One can use the X-ray diffractometry software "Diffrac Plus" to process results to plan and control the experiment. The software package includes the modules "Search," "EVA," "Dquant" and "Topas," and allows an analysis of complex multiphase compounds and impurities to be conducted.
