A project of quality training of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), whose purpose is familiarization with multimedia technologies, started in Turkmenistan. A series of workshops are envisaged for teachers, school administrations, as well as staff of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
At the opening of the workshop the head of the USAID representation in Turkmenistan Ashley Moretz stressed that "the Agency supports the introduction of the new multimedia technologies in teaching process, as well as advanced approaches to learning."
Since 1992, USAID allocated $90 million for programs to promote economic development in the social sector and social initiatives of Turkmenistan.
