Azerbaijani mobile operator Bakcell is considering the implementation of a joint special program with English football club Manchester United, Bakcell CEO Richard Shearer said on Monday. He added that it is a scholarship project for youth development.
Bakcell signed a partnership agreement with FC Manchester United today. The company became the first official telecommunication and broadcast partner of the famous club in the CIS, as a result of which fans of the Manchester United in Azerbaijan, as well as 2.6 million subscribers of Bakcell will have access to unique content of the football team.
The company Bakcell will offer a special package of mobile services to subscribers, and will have the right to broadcast the club's official TV channel - MUTV in Azerbaijan in the frame of the partnership.
It is planned to launch Wap-portal dedicated to the partnership of Bakcell and Manchester United, which will offer a variety of services (Manchester United news, scores, videos, ringtones, etc.).
