Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug.18
By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:

Scientific developments of Azerbaijani scientists will ensure the safety of pipelines to transport oil and gas produced in the Arctic, Director of the Regional Information Technologies Academy (RITA) Tofig Babaev told Trend.

In particular, "Robust Noise Monitoring" (RNM) monitoring system of diagnostics and control developed in the Institute of Control Systems of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) is the case, he said.

Possibilities of its application are being considered by the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences of the Arctic community.
"Russia has a strong interest in RNM. In September, the leadership of the academy will visit Baku for detailed acquaintance with the work of the monitoring system," said Babaev.

The afore mentioned development makes it possible to receive signals (information) on the wind speed, pressure, temperature, etc., by using sensors.

During drilling a set of noise and interference is recorded. Each signal has its own specific interference, in accordance with which it is possible to predict undesirable incidents. It is possible to predict accidents by using them as carriers of information, as the information is converted into signals which are then transmitted by radio to the central office of the company. The use of monitoring systems in the aviation industry, in the oil and other sectors will help to diagnose micro accidents at an early stage and to reduce emergency situations to zero.
