Azerbaijan increases Internet traffic volume

The volume of incoming Internet traffic on the network of Azerbaijani primary provider, Delta Telecom, in early August increased by five gigabits compared to July and made ​​100 gigabits, says the statistical report of the company on Aug. 20.

The dynamics of the network load varies depending on the time of day, with the greatest load happening during the evening (100 gigabits). In the daytime this figure falls to 10 gigabits. According to the report, the maximum amount of outgoing Internet traffic amounted to 20 gigabits during the day.

Traffic "Delta Telecom" is divided between 29 telecommunications operators (public and private Internet service providers, mobile operators and others).

As of Aug. 21, the largest amount of Internet traffic delivered to end users fell on the "BakinterNet" public Internet service provider (25.14 percent). "Aztelekom" with a share of 12.46 percent holds second place and "Uninet" (trademark "Stream") with 12 percent holds third place.

The remaining 50.4 percent are distributed between the companies "AlfaNet", "Azintex", "Eurotelecom", "Q-Telecom", "Avirtel", "Azedunet", "Caspel", "QlobalNet", "TransEuroCom", "Azerin", "AzStarNet", "Castel", "MegaTelecom", "Smart-Systems", "Azeronline", "Stellford" ("Connect" trademark), "Nakhchivan", "Ultel", "Azerphone", "Azqtel", "DATAPlus ","Orbit-az", "AzEuroTel", "Bakcell", "Eurocel" and Information Technology Centre (ITC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technology.
