![]() Kazakhstan, Astana, Feb.1 / Trend Capital K.Konyrova / In January, inflation ratio hit 1.4 percent in Kazakhstan, the country Statistics Committee reported. Prices for foodstuffs increased by 1.1 percent, non-foodstuffs by 0.3 percent, payment services by 2.8 percent, the Committee said. In January, prices for fruits and vegetables increased by 2.9 percent, sugar by 1.9 percent, dairy products and eggs by 1.7 percent, coffee, tea and cocoa by 1.6 percent, oils and fats products by 1.2 percent and meat products by 1.1 percent. Price-cut was observed in the bakery and cereals products by 0.6 percent, bread by 0.5 percent, cereals by 0.7 percent, grain by 1.4 percent and flour by 2.5 percent. Prices for detergents and cleaning products rose by 0.3 percent, clothing and footwear, kitchenware by 0.5 percent each, books and newspapers, personal care by 0.7 percent, pharmaceuticals by 1 percent. Prices for gasoline decreased by 2 percent, whilst for diesel oil increased by 0.3 percent and coal by 0.7 percent. According to the Committee, housing and communal services tariffs for cold water increased by 9.7 percent, electricity by 9 percent, sewerage services by 5.8 percent, central heating by 2.6 percent and hot water by 1.7 percent. Communication services increased by 8.3 percent, including postage stamps by 2.2 percent and subscription fee for telephone by 18.1 percent. Prices for the local rail passenger transport rose by 6.5 percent, pre-school education by 1.7 percent, health by 1.3 percent, culture by 0.4 percent. See Also:
