Azerbaijan, Baku, November 20 / Trend Capital, A.Badalova / Azerbaijan supports the diversification of its own gas supplies, and for that considers all the routes, the President of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev said on Nov. 20, commenting on the information spread by the media about the possible failure in the Azerbaijani gas exports to the EU and Asia.

This information is incorrect. The route of gas supply to China is also considered by the company and worked out, like everything else, said Abdullayev.

According to data provided by BP, the proven gas reserves in Azerbaijan as of the beginning of 2009 amounted to 1.2 trillion cubic meters.
