The state of all eight people infected with swine flu is satisfactory, Azerbaijani Republican Anti-Plague Station Deputy Director Shair Gurbanov said.
"All patients applied for medical aid immediately after symptoms of the virus. Thus, it ensured satisfactory state of patients. At present, the patients undergo special medical course," Gurbanov said.
Speaking about state of other three people, Gurbanov said that infection was revealed last week. Their state can be estimated as normal. Two patients undergoing medical treatment in the Azerbaijani Lung Diseases Research Institute will be discharged from hospital soon. The third patient undergoing treatment at home feels well.
Gurbanov recommended the population to observe all hygienic and sanitary norms.
Specialist said that the population must be careful because symptoms of swine flu do not differ from ordinary flu. One should immediately apply for medical aid having first symptoms of flu.
"It is possible to determine swine flu after getting results of laboratory analyses," Gurbanov said.
Other eight people infected with swine flu were revealed in Azerbaijan today.
Three infected people arrived in Azerbaijan from Ukraine, one - from Turkey, one foreign citizen from Great Britain and three patients residents of Baku were in contact with infected people leaving from Ukriane. They are Azerbaijani citizens.
Two patients are under stationary treatment but the rest ones - out-patient treatment.
The state of all patients is satisfactory.
All medical facilities included in the Azerbaijani Health Ministry have been operating actively because of swine flu in Azerbaijan.
The ministry instructed the entire medical staff to conduct prophylactic measures in facilities and check all people registered in each local policlinic.
The first batch of vaccines allocated by WHO free of charge will be received in late November. Vaccination will be conducted among infected people.
