The Kazakh Labor and Social Protection Ministry issued an order, in which it defined the poverty line at 40 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011, the Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
The document was published in the official press on Wednesday.
Based on the Kazakh Statistics Agency, the living wage in the country totaled 16, 844 tenge in September. Food basket totaled 10,106 tenge and non-food basket - 6,738 tenge.
