On Saturday, Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kairat Ishchanov met with First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary, the head of the CIS mission monitoring the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan Vladimir Garkun, the Kazakh Senate told Trend.

On Saturday, Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kairat Ishchanov met with First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary, the head of the CIS mission monitoring the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan Vladimir Garkun, the Kazakh Senate told Trend.

During the meeting, Vice-Speaker thanked the CIS observers for their participation in the parliamentary elections and stressed that the Kazakh side has created all necessary conditions for international observers.

Describing the course of the election campaign, Ishchanov said that the elections to Majilis and maslikhats will be held in Zhanaozen in due time.
Vice-Speaker of the Senate stressed the importance of interaction between the Parliaments of the CIS member states. He stressed that inter-parliamentary cooperation is one of the basic foundations of multilateral partnership of the CIS member states.

"Inter-parliamentary relations allow to share the experience of legislative work and play an important role in expanding cooperation in all spheres", Ishchanov said.

"We support the Kazakh leadership's decision to hold the elections in Zhanaozen," Garkun said.

Expressing gratitude to the Senate for creating the active processes in joint activity, Garkun said that we appreciate Kazakhstan's desire to create a multi-party Parliament.
On the same day Ishchanov met with the executive secretary of the EurAsEC Interparliamentary. Assembly Petr Zverev.
