The Kazakh Senate chairman has appointed Kairat Nurpeisov chief of the Parliament's Senate Apparatus.

"By the order of Chairman of Kazakh Parliament's Senate Kairat Mami, Kairat Nurpeisov has been appointed chief of the Senate's Apparatus," the Senate's statement said on Wednesday.

54-year-old Kairat Nurpeisov worked previously as Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister of state revenues; akim of Pavlodar, Pavlodar province. In 2008 he was appointed Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan and since 2009 he worked as Chairman of the Civil Service Agency.
