Some hidden pipelines running from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan discovered, Kyrtag reported on Tuesday with the reference to Civil Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Kyrgyz Government.
"The staff of the Civil Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Kyrgyz Government suppressed the contraband fuel supply from Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic, which was carried out through hidden pipelines running across the river Chu," the Civil Service said.
Large amount of fuel and lubricants was pumped earlier through these pipelines without customs clearance and payment of taxes.
On the night of September 27, at 03.30 a.m, a car with a fuel tanker without the proper documents was detained. According to a driver of the car, the fuel was pumped from a rubber pipe laid under Chu river. The total length of the pipe hit 130 meters. Diesel fuel was poured into the pipe in Kazakh Kordai region.
The pipeline was discovered by an investigative team on September 27. The issue on criminal case filing is being considering.
