First military parade to be held in Kazakhstan

Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov has signed a decree on preparation and holding of a military parade of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the ministry announced on Wednesday.

Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov has signed a decree on preparation and holding of a military parade of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the ministry announced on Wednesday.

The Defender of the Fatherland Day was declared a national holiday according to an amendment to the law "on holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan" last year.

" In commemoration of this event and to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, the first in the history of the country military parade of the Armed Forces will be held on May 7," the announcement says.

New samples of weapons and military equipment included in the inventory of the Armed Forces over the recent years will be demonstrated in special places. Furthermore, their operational use will also take place. For example, it is planned to hold landing of C-295 airplane on a soft-surface runway, as well as practical actions of troops supported by aviation and artillery.

Moreover, participants of the celebration at the Guard garrison will be able to see the live video broadcasting of the battle firing of the ships of the naval forces of Kazakhstan in Caspian sea.

Representatives of the defense industrial complex of Kazakhstan will demonstrate their achievements as well by showing the capacities and opportunities for production of military equipment.
