Kazakhstan, Iran discuss trade and economic cooperation (PHOTO)

The third meeting of the Kazakh-Iran working group on trade and economic cooperation has started in Astana.

The agenda includes the implementation of agreements reached at the previous meeting of the working group, as well as prospects of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of trade and economy.

"What is at issue is cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran in the sphere of industry and the mining industry, agriculture and agribusiness complex, transport and logistics, tourism and culture, " Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, Kairat Torebaev said opening the meeting.

The co-chairman from Kazakhstan is the Deputy Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Timur Zhaksylykov and from Iran, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce for the development of economic relations and Chairman of the Trade Promotion Organisation of Iran Valiolla Afkhami.

It is planned to sign a protocol of the third meeting of the Kazakh-Iran working group at the end of the meeting.
