Some 40 countries from all over the world are interested in the free trade zone with the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, Russian news agency Prime reported with reference to Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 5.

"The Eurasian Economic Commission has already started to form a package of free trade agreements with several countries. We have already received requests for such agreements from about 40 countries," Putin said at the summit meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow.

Among the countries which are interested in free trade with the Customs Union are such countries of European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), Vietnam, Israel, India, Chile and Peru, according to Putin.

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is the supreme body of the Customs Union and Common Economic Space of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
