Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning, Erbolat Dossayev and the Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Turkey, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, Olivier Descamps discussed bilateral cooperation issues.

"Kazakh government plans to expand cooperation with international financial organizations in order to achieve effective fulfillment of strategic priorities," Dossayev said.

The aim is to strengthen the diversification and increase the competitiveness of Kazakhstan's economy, attract investments in non-primary sectors, develop the private entrepreneurship and human capital, as well as to support the small and medium-sized business, the minister stressed.

Kazakhstan is expected to sign a framework partnership agreement with the EBRD during the seventh Astana Economic Forum on May 23.

Kazakhstan has signed framework partnership agreements with the World Bank Group and the Asian Development Bank.
