Following the meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan, CIS Council of Defense Ministers agreed to hold over 30 joint events in 2015, Kazakh Defense Ministry said on July 21.
The meeting participants paid special attention to improving the joint military systems and approved the measures on developing the joint monitoring and evaluation of radiation, chemical and biological conditions.
Moreover, the council defined the priorities of the comprehensive research in countering aerospace attacks and agreed on financing the development of the CIS Joint Air Defense System.
The meeting participants viewed over 20 issues on various areas of the multilateral cooperation of defense ministries of CIS countries.
