Kazakhstan calls on all parties to the conflict in Ukraine to sit down at the negotiating table to find a solution on the basis of trust, open dialogue for stoppage of the bloodshed.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev made the remarks at the enlarged government meeting held in Astana.

"I think there is no other reasonable alternative. For my part, to the extent possible, I am involved myself and do my best," the president said.

Ukraine is an important partner of Kazakhstan and economic and human strands, commercial contracts, human relations unite the Kazakh people with the Ukrainian people, according to Nazarbayev.

He recalled that in accordance with the official forecasts of the government of this country, the decline in GDP will be at least 6 percent by the end of the year; inflation will increase by 20 percent, and the national currency will significantly depreciated.

"This causes serious concern for the Kazakh people, we empathize with the tragedy of the ordinary people, which is now going on in Ukraine," he said.

The main objective of all government agencies, public institutions of Kazakhstan is the preservation and strengthening of peace, harmony, tranquility, security in difficult conditions, according to Nazarbayev.
