Head and Deputy Head of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition of The Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan have been appointed, the department said on Aug. 25.
The report notes that Serik Zhumangarin, former deputy minister of regional development has been appointed the chairman of the Committee on the Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition of Kazakhstan.
Arystan Kabikenov, who previously served as executive secretary of the Ministry of Regional Development of Kazakhstan, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Committee.
Further on, the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dosayev also introduced new Deputies Chairman of the Committee Azamat Maite, who previously held the position of the Director of the Department for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, Alia Dzhumabaeva, former director of the department of the integration policy of NC "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" JSC and Rustam Akhmetov, previously served as executive secretary of the Agency of Kazakhstan on regulation of Natural Monopolies.
The role of the anti-monopoly in Kazakhstan will increase, according to Yerbolat Dosayev.
The minister also added that the Committee has two key objectives, namely: legislative work and the protection of competition within the frameworks of integration processes.
