The number of people coming to Kazakhstan from the CIS countries for permanent residence reduced by 12.7 percent in Jan.-July 2014 compared to Jan.-July 2013, according to a message from Kazakh National Economy Ministry's Statistics Committee.

The number of those arriving in the country for a permanent residence stood at 14,535, while balance of migration was 4,864, according to the message.

The Statistics Committee said Kazakhstan's migration exchange is mainly taking place with the CIS countries.

"The share of those arriving from the CIS and leaving for these countries stood at 87.8 percent and 89.1 percent respectively," according to the message.
