Rashid Jakupov has been appointed Kazakhstan's deputy interior minister in accordance with the decree of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakh presidency said on Sept.25.
Prior to this appointment, Jakupov headed the Department of Internal Affairs of the East Kazakhstan province. He also served as the deputy prosecutor of the East Kazakhstan province and held other positions.
