Contracts for gasoline supply to Kazakhstan from other countries signed

Contracts for AI-92 gasoline supply to Kazakhstan in the amount of 106,700 metric tons in October were signed within the framework of the measures taken by the government of Kazakhstan to normalize the situation with fuel and lubricants gasoline products in the domestic market of KazMunaiGas Onimdery LLP (100-percent subsidiary of KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing), the press-service of KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing JSC said.

Some 87.2 metric tons of gasoline will be also delivered to Kazakhstan from Russia, according to the report.

The report said that in September-October 2014 the shipment of these volumes will amount to 66,100 metric tons. The quality of imported products corresponds to classes K-2, K-3 and K-5. The daily shipment of AI-92 gasoline from refineries in Russia and other countries to Kazakhstan is nearly 3,000 metric tons.

"Imported gasoline products of environmental class K-5 meet the requirements of the markets of the Customs Union and the European Union countries," said the statement.

The report said that AI-92 gasoline of K-5 class will be sold via retail gas stations of KazMunaiGas in Astana, Almaty and also Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan and Karaganda regions.

The retail sale of AI-92, AI-95 automotive gasoline and diesel fuel is implemented at all filling stations of KazMunaiGas without restrictions since October 20, 2014, the report said.

Moreover, the volume of processing and production of petroleum products has increased in all three refineries of Kazakhstan. Kazakh refineries processed over 10.993 million metric tons of oil in Jan.-Sept. 2014, which is 3.4 percent more than in the same period of 2013.

Kazakhstan's refineries increased the gasoline production by 17.3 percent in Jan.-Sept. compared to the same period of 2013 and brought its volume to around 2.211 million metric tons, jet fuel - 13.7 percent (315,549 metric tons), LPG - 14.8 percent (302,900 metric tons), diesel fuel - 3.6 percent (around 3.155 million metric tons).
This is while the fuel oil production has dropped by 7.5 percent and stood at 306,877 metric tons.

KazMunaiGas - Processing and Marketing JSC is a 100 percent subsidiary of KazMunaiGas JSC National Company. Its assets include Atyrau Refinery LLP (99.53 percent), PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP (49.7 percent), Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP (100 percent), KazMunaiGas Onіmderі LLP (100 percent), JV Caspi Bitum LLP (50 percent). The main areas of activity: management of refining assets, exports of oil and petroleum products, the development of retail sales of petroleum products.

KazMunaiGas is the Kazakh national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in Kazakhstan's gas and oil industry. KazMunaiGas is wholly owned by the state through Samruk-Kazyna National Wealth Fund.
