Kazakh ruling party Nur Otan supports the proposal of the council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK) on early presidential election, the press service of the party said Feb.16.
"On February 14, the council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK) put forward an initiative to hold early election of the President of Kazakhstan in 2015," said the message. "Nur Otan as the leading political force in the country fully supports this initiative."
Moreover, Kazakh ruling party said in its message that a new wave of financial and economic crisis is spreading in the world today.
The serious geopolitical tension is aggravating the situation and as a result, even the most developing countries are experiencing the increasing xenophobia, religious intolerance and enhanced radical movements, according to the message.
"The coming years will be the time for global tests," the ruling party cited the remarks earlier made by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. "Not all countries, but only strong states, close-knit nations will succeed to go through this difficult time with dignity."
Today, it is important more than ever to strengthen the unity, harmony and stability, to consolidate the efforts of the state, society and all citizens of Kazakhstan, said the ruling party's message.
"With this regard, by supporting the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, we consider the initiative to hold early presidential election as the most right decision meeting the interests of the country and the people," the message said.
The ruling party expressed confidence that this move will make it possible to focus the efforts of the parliament, the government, central and local bodies of the government, unite the creative energy of the people in order to achieve the main goal - prosperity and welfare of Kazakhstan, according to the message.
It is reported that Nur Otan party summoned all citizens, political parties and social forces to support the initiative of holding early presidential election in Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the Deputy Chairman of the APK Anatoly Bashmakov offered to hold early presidential election in the country in the near future.
"We have the following arguments: firstly, we will hold two electoral campaigns in 2016 - the electoral campaign of the MPs of the Majilis (lower chamber) of parliament and presidential election, and this is surely a legal discrepancy," said Bashmakov. "In addition, the peak of the global financial economic crisis will happen in 2016, according to experts."
The next presidential election in Kazakhstan is scheduled be held in 2016.
