As of April 3, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kazakhstan has accredited 337 observers from international organizations and foreign states to the presidential election to be held in the country April 26, the message of the CEC of Kazakhstan said April 3.
"CEC accredited 337 observers from the three missions of international organizations (ODIHR/OSCE, the CIS and SCO), one international organization (Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States) and 27 foreign countries," the message said.
In addition, the ministry of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan accredited 98 representatives of foreign media from 19 countries.
Accreditation of observers from foreign states and international organizations is conducted by the CEC till April 20, 2015.
The candidates running for president of Kazakhstan are the incumbent president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, nominated by the Nur Otan Party, Turgun Syzdykov, the candidate nominated by the Communist People's Party, and Abelgazi Kusainov, the chairman of the Trade Unions Federation.
