Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover decreased by 36.1 percent in January-July 2015 and amounted to $39.522 billion compared to the same period of 2014, the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said.

Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover decreased by 36.1 percent in January-July 2015 and amounted to $39.522 billion compared to the same period of 2014, the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said.

During this period, Kazakhstan's exports declined by 43.4 percent and amounted to $24.059 billion and imports - by 19.8 percent up to $15.463 billion.

The physical volume index in the trade sector increased by two percent in January-July 2015, the report said.

The retail trade volume increased 2.9 percent and amounted to 3.328 trillion tenge (188.05 tenge = $ 1) in January-July 2015.

The wholesale trade volume amounted to 8.49 trillion tenge in January-July 2015 or by 1.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2014.

The volume of services for delivering food and beverages amounted to 154.1 billion tenge in January-July 2015 or by 6.6 percent more compared to January-July 2014.

The consumer price index increased by 1.5 percent in Kazakhstan in July 2015 compared to December 2014. Food prices increased by 1.1 percent, nonfood items - by 0.9 percent, paid services to the population increased by 2.6 percent. The prices on industrial items at the enterprise reduced by 12.9 percent in July 2015 compared to December 2014.
