Kazakhstan plan's to carry out an overhaul of several railway stations in the country in 2016.

Kazakhstan Railways said Sept. 10 that the buildings of the Taldykurgan, Ushtobe, Tonkeris, Nura, Ognyevka, Cheremshanka, Chingirlau and Sary-Oba railway stations are to undergo major repairs.

As of now, Kazakhstan has overhauled the Eltay, Osakarovka, Aktogay, Shar, Leninogorsk, Atyrau, Kazakhstan, Karatau, and Balkhash-2 stations, said Kazakhstan Railways.

Kazakh railway stations' buildings are overhauled annually to develop and expand the railway infrastructure and to improve services rendered to passengers.

The railway stations' roofs, facades, interior and exterior decorations are renewed, their territories are beautified, and the internal and external networks are repaired during the overhauls.
