Uzakbai Karabalin, the Kazakh First Deputy Energy Minister, was dismissed in connection with the retirement age, the ministry said.
A relevant decree was signed by Kazakh prime minister.
Karabalin has held this position since August 2014. He headed the oil and gas ministry, KazMunaiGas national oil and gas company and Kazakh Oil and Gas Institute in different years.
