UN forecasts unsignificant GDP growth in Kazakhstan

United Nations (UN) forecasts real GDP growth in Kazakhstan at the level of 2.1 percent in 2016, 2.8 percent - in 2017.

United Nations (UN) forecasts real GDP growth in Kazakhstan at the level of 2.1 percent in 2016, 2.8 percent - in 2017, said the organization's "World Economic Situation and Prospects 2016" report.

GDP growth in Kazakhstan decreased by 1.5 percent in 2015 (compared to 4.3 percent in 2014, 6 percent - in 2013), according to UN.

Inflation in Kazakhstan in 2016 and 2017 are forecasted at the level of 6.5 and 4.5 percent respectively.

Inflation was 5.8 percent in Kazakhstan in 2015 (compared to 6.7 percent in 2014 and 5.8 percent - in 2013), according to UN.

World Economic Situation and Prospects 2016 report is prepared at the beginning of each year by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the organization's five regional commissions.
