Kazakhstan’s KEGOC suffering losses

The Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Co. (KEGOC) lost a total of 8.6 billion Kazakh tenges (slightly over $23,500,000 on Feb. 1) in 2015.

The Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Co. (KEGOC) lost a total of 8.6 billion Kazakh tenges (slightly over $23,500,000 on Feb. 1) in 2015.

KEGOC operates Kazakhstan's unified power system.

In 2014, KEGOC had a profit of 119.41 billion tenges, according a financial accounting posted on the website of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The company's operating loss stood at 9.6 billion tenges in 2015.

Its operating profit in 2014 was 13.65 billion tenges.

KEGOC's revenue was 104.57 billion tenges in 2015 (92.76 billion tenges in 2014).

The company's assets increased from 550.07 billion tenges to 593.89 billion tenges during the year.

Exchange rate as of Feb. 1 is $1/364.79 tenges.
