Baku, Azerbaijan, March 1
By Elena Kosolapova - Trend:
The National Bank of Kazakhstan changed the rules for currency exchange, said the Bank's press service.
Under the new rules, it is necessary to submit an identity card for the exchange of currency exceeding one million tenges (349.82 tenges = $1).
Previously, this rule was applied to currency exchange transactions worth over two million tenges.
In addition, under the new changes, the exchange offices can set exchange rate on their own at weekends and on public holidays, adequately reflecting changes in the foreign exchange market.
This was done to ensure uninterrupted operation of the exchange offices, said the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
