Kazakhstan and Russia agreed to enhance information exchange on extremist and terrorist organizations and wanted persons involved in terrorism and extremist crimes.

The issues were discussed between the internal affair ministers of the two countries, Kalmukhanbet Kasymov and Vladimir Kolokoltsev, their deputies, and heads of internal affairs border departments on Aug. 16 in Kazakhstan’s Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakh Internal Affairs Ministry said.

The parties also discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in road safety and exchanged views on enhancing the information exchange on registration and deregistration of vehicles, driving licenses, as well as cooperation in searching for vehicles and vehicle thieves.

The internal affair ministers of the two countries approved a joint action plan for 2017.
