VTB Bank Kazakhstan suffers huge loss

Kazakh subsidiary of Russia’s VTB Bank suffered 669.54 million tenges loss in 1H 2016 as compared to 235.51 million tenges loss in the same period of 2015 (343.73 tenges = $1), according to the bank’s financial statements published on the website of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The bank’s assets decreased from 164.49 billion tenges to 155.73 billion tenges in the reporting period.

Its liabilities decreased from 143.63 billion tenges to 136.92 billion tenges in 1H 2016.

The bank’s equity was 18.8 billion tenges at the end of June as compared to 20.86 billion tenges at the beginning of 2016.

VTB Bank Kazakhstan provides services to legal entities and individuals, focusing on the work with corporate customers, small and medium businesses.
