Kazakh National Bank will issue a commemorative banknote with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, said the message from the bank.
The 10,000-tenge banknote will be issued by the Day of the First President on Dec.1.
"The history of Kazakhstan’s Independence is inextricable linked with the personality of the head of state", National Bank’s head Daniyar Akishev. “Therefore, the National Bank presents a commemorative banknote dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence which reflects the president’s contribution in the country's development."
He noted that the design of the first Kazakhstan’s banknotes was defined by Nazarbayev in 1993 and this has been an exclusive right of the head of state since that time.
