Kazakhstan’s Aktobe regional court sentenced seven young people, including several minors to various terms of imprisonment for terrorism propaganda and attempting to organize terror attacks, the court’s press service said Jan. 6.
The extremist group planned terror attacks against law enforcement officials in Kazakhstan as well as in night clubs and shopping malls in Russia.

They also promoted their extremist ideas via the internet and tried to attract new member to their group.

The group members were charged of creation of and participation in a terrorist group, propaganda of terrorism and incitement to religious hatred.
The group leader was sentenced to nine years of imprisonment. Other criminals were sentenced to six to nine years in a penal colony.
