The Board of Directors of Capital Bank Kazakhstan appointed Bakhtiyar Ilyasov to the post of the bank’s chairman of the board.

The Board of Directors of Capital Bank Kazakhstan appointed Bakhtiyar Ilyasov to the post of the bank’s chairman of the board.
He will replace Ghani Uzbekov on this post.

Ilyasov earlier served as deputy chairman of the board of Kazakhstan-based Tengri bank.
Besides heading the bank, Ilyasov will be responsible for organizing the process of merger of two banks.

Tengri Bank and Capital Bank Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of intent to merge in mid-March.

The bank’s consolidated capital will be 43.2 billion tenge (311.4 tenge = $1) and the bank will rise to the 17th place among second tier banks in Kazakhstan.
Currently, both Tengri Bank and Capital Bank Kazakhstan provide full range of investment and banking services for corporate financing and retail banking.
