A Saudi delegation headed by Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid A. Al-Falih discussed cooperation with the Kazakh colleagues during a visit to Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Energy Ministry said in a message April 28.
The delegation includes the heads of the largest Saudi oil and gas, chemical, and mining industry companies, such as Saudi Aramco, Sabic and Maaden.
“The sides talked on further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in petrochemistry, nuclear industry and renewable energy sources,” the ministry said.
In particular, they discussed the development of cooperation in joint oil and gas chemical projects, expansion of cooperation in nuclear industry, possibility of cooperation in providing nuclear fuel to nuclear power plants of Saudi Arabia, as well as experience exchange in the development of uranium deposits and technologies.
The parties will also consider the possibility of cooperation on renewable energy projects and the transfer of experience in this sphere.
The Saudi Arabian delegation will leave Kazakhstan on April 29.
