The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov visited the office of the National Welfare Fund of the Republic Samruk-Kazina, where he met with the leadership of the fund, including the chairman Umirzak Shukeyev, the Kyrgyz government said.

The meeting focused on current issues in project management, which has the interests of both countries, particularly in the field of energy, transport and gas, Kazakh investment in national projects of Kyrgyzstan.

The issue of participation of Kazakhstan in the construction of hydropower facilities was discussed in detail. The parties also discussed the issue related to the calculation of Kyrgyz debt for the gas supply.

Babanov presented a number of projects for Kazakh investment in the mining sector. Umirzak Shukeyev instructed the relevant structures of Samruk-Kazina to consider issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the designated project.

Regarding the system of financing the construction of secondary schools in the city of Osh, at the expense of the Kazakh side, initiated at the request of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the decision was made to harmonize the architectural project of high school by the very latest technology and design with a capacity of not less than 1,000 students.
