An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale hit Kyrgyzstan Aug. 31 at 6.43 local time, 24.kg news agency reported citing the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
The earthquake's epicenter was located 20 km north-east of Arkita village, 85 km north-west of Mailuu-Suu town, according to Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences.
