Finance Minister of Kyrgyzstan Olga Lavrova has submitted a letter of resignation, the press service of the government apparatus of the country told RIA Novosti news agency April 13.
"The minister of finance has submitted a letter of resignation," said the source.
Lavrova held the post of finance minister since September 2012 in three coalition governments of the republic. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
Lavrova has not yet explained the reasons for her resignation, promising to announce this information during a special press conference. Lavrova previously received an offer to work in the structure of Russian Gazprom, according to the Kyrgyz news agency 24.kg with reference to its own sources.
