Some 28.1 percent of voters participated in the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan as of 16.00 (GMT+6 hours), the country’s First Deputy Prime Minister Mukhametkaly Abulgaziev said Dec. 11 at a press conference, 24.kg news agency reported.

He said that the largest percentage of voters is in Naryn and Talas provinces, which is 30 percent each.

“Of the 14,000 voters living abroad, 618 people cast their votes,” the first deputy prime minister noted.

“Some 29.1 percent of voters came to the election of local councils,” Mukhametkaly Abulgaziev said.

Kyrgyz Deputy Interior Minister Almaz Orozaliev said that 16 offenses facts have been registered in general. The police officers are holding inspections. All the materials will be given to the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan.

Also, eight cases of power outage were recorded.
