Tajikistan, Malaysia mull bilateral cooperation development

The development of Tajik-Malaysian bilateral relations was discussed during the meeting of Tajikistan's president Emomali Rahmon with Malaysia's Foreign Minister Anifah bin Haji Aman, Asia Plus reported on Sept. 8 referring to Tajik presidency.

Implementation of the agreements signed between the two countries during the state visit of Emomali Rahmon to Malaysia in June, 2014 was also a subject of discussions during the meeting.

The sides emphasized the need to establish an intergovernmental commission on cooperation, as well as inter-parliamentary relations between Tajikistan and Malaysia and to create direct contacts between two countries' business communities.

They also stressed the importance of signing an intergovernmental agreement on avoidance of double taxation and failure to pay taxes.

The development of cooperation in tourism and education was also discussed during the meeting.
